Donate to the Farming Education Fund
One of the beauties of the NOFA Conference is that it attracts a number of young (and sometimes old) folks who are passionate about organic farming but don't have strong financial means. You can have an important impact in someone's life by making a donation to the NOFA Summer Conference Farming Education Fund. This fund allows participants to attend the conference at a very reduced rate. Each of our applicants must become a NOFA member in the state of their choice and is asked to pay a portion of the entrance fee when possible. These funds are used only to pay for registration costs and not food or housing. Each recipient is also asked to donate a modest amount of time to helping out while at the conference. We are of the belief that a modest investment by someone will ensure more dedication to making use of the opportunity. People often go away from the NOFA Summer Conference with new directions to life. You can donate on the bottom of the registration form, or if you prefer, you can send a check directly to our registration coordinator Kathleen Geary with a note that it is for FEF. Kathleen will carefully review candidates for this scholarship and make the money spread as far as possible. Thanks for your support.
